The genus Microtypus Ratzeburg, 1848 (Braconidae: Microtypinae) is revised, its species are keyed, and a new species, M. petiolatus van Achterberg spec. nov. is described. The type species is redescribed and fully illustrated. The genus Similearinus Glowacki & Karpinski, 1967 is a new junior synonym of Microtypus; S. ilinskyi Glowacki & Karpiński, 1967 is a new junior synonym of Microtypus trigonus (Nees, 1834), and M. dioryctriae Rohwer, 1920 of M. wesmaelii Ratzeburg, 1848. For both senior synonyms neotypes are designated. The Malagasian species that have been placed in Microtypus are excluded and transferred to the genus Stantonia Ashmead, 1904.

Lieftinck mainly published on the Odonata faunas of the Indo-Australian and Palaearctic regions. He revised many genera, described over 600 species and also examined hundreds of primary types of previously described species. He included with his descriptions and revisions accurate line illustrations and carefully composed lists of synonymies and references. The index to his works is therefore a key to nearly the full literature of Indo-Australian Odonata, as well as to valuable museum collections of, especially Indo-Australian, Odonata.

An illustrated key to the genera and subgenera of the Alysiini (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Alysiinae) from China is presented. A new species of the genus Apanteles Foerster, 1862 (subgenus Choeras Mason, 1981) from The Netherlands is described and illustrated. The new species is reported to be a parasitoid of larvae of terrestrial Trichoptera (Limnophilidae), which is the first report of this order as host of Braconidae. The species of the genus Pseudichneutes Belokobylskij, 1996 (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Ichneutinae: Ichneutini) from Europe and Oriental China are keyed, and two new species are described. The Chinese species of the only other known genus of the tribe, Ichneutes Nees, 1816, are keyed and three new species are described. This represents the first record of the genera Pseudichneutes and Ichneutes from the Oriental region as well as from China.

A new species of the genus Macrocentrus Curtis, 1833 (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Macrocentrinae) described and illustrated: M. sylvestrellae spec. nov. from France and Italy. It is a gregarious koinobiont endoparasitoid of the pine stem borer Dioryctria sylvestrella (Ratzeburg, 1840) (Lepidoptera; Pyraloidea: Pyralidae: Phycitinae), a noxious pest in Pinus plantations in southern Europe.

The genus Atopandrium Graham, 1952 (Alysiinae: Alysiini) is synonymized with Aphaereta Foerster, 1862, Wachsmannia Szépligeti, (September) 1900 (Doryctinae: Doryctini) with Hypodoryctes Kokujev, (August) 1900, and Promachus Cresson, 1887 nec Loew, 1848 (Cenocoeliinae) with Cenocoelius Haliday, 1840. Atopandrium loripenne Graham, 1952, and Trisynaldis conflucta Fischer, 1958, are synonymized with Aphaereta debilitata Morley, 1933. Aphaereta palea (Papp, 1990), Hypodoryctes spathiiformis (Ratzeburg, 1848), and Cenocoelius aartseni (van Achterberg, 1994) are new combinations. A lectotype is designated for Aphaereta debilitata Morley, 1933.
